The Georgian Book Association is dedicated to advancing Georgia's book industry, strengthening the publishing sector, protecting freedom to publish and freedom of expression, and promoting a culture of reading.<\/h6>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Association was established in February 2025 on the initiative of a group of publishers and book distributors who withdrew from the Georgian Publishers and Booksellers Association in protest. Since its founding, the Georgian Book Association has been committed to fostering an independent and transparent publishing environment, supporting democratic values, and promoting professional development within the publishing sector.<\/p>

\u10d3\u10e6\u10d4\u10e1 \u10d0\u10e1\u10dd\u10ea\u10d8\u10d0\u10ea\u10d8\u10d0 28 \u10ec\u10d4\u10d5\u10e0<\/a><\/span> Today, the Association brings together 28 member organizations - publishers and booksellers that play an active role in the development of Georgia's book market. It serves as a platform for representing and protecting the shared interests of its members while encouraging collaboration, knowledge exchange, and joint efforts to address the challenges facing the industry.<\/p>

The Association advocates for the principles of freedom to publish and distribute books, supports broader access to books, and promotes the development of a strong reading culture in Georgia. One of the Association's key priorities is to strengthen its member organizations and create an environment that enables them to operate sustainably, independently, and competitively.<\/p>

In 2026, the Georgian Book Association \u10d2\u10d0\u10db\u10dd\u10db\u10ea\u10d4\u10db\u10d4\u10da\u10d7\u10d0 \u10db\u10e1\u10dd\u10e4\u10da\u10d8\u10dd \u10d0\u10e1\u10dd\u10ea\u10d8\u10d0\u10ea\u10d8\u10d8\u10e1 (IPA)<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and will benefit from the status of an initial member in its first year.<\/p>
