Criteria for determining the amount of membership fees and payment procedure

  1. All members of the Georgian Book Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”) are obliged to pay membership fees in accordance with the procedure established by this document.
  • Membership fee amount: The membership fee amount is determined based on the member's annual income and is divided into five categories:

  • The financial year is defined as the following period: from January 1 to December 31 of the calendar year.
  • No later than March 10 of each year, all members of the organization shall submit to the Executive Director of the Association information on their annual income for the previous financial year.
  • Based on the information received, the Executive Director shall, no later than March 31 of each year, issue an order to each member, determining the amount of the membership fee of this member from April 1 of each year to March 31 of the following year.
  • The member is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided to the association. The association, in turn, assumes responsibility for maintaining confidentiality and not disclosing the received data to third parties.
  • Membership fees are paid quarterly [3 months].
  • If any member's membership date is an incomplete month [for example, they joined in the middle of a calendar month], their membership fee for the corresponding quarter will be reduced proportionally.
  • At the end of each quarter, the association's executive director prepares an invoice and sends it to the member.
  • The member of the association is obliged to pay the membership fee within 10 working days of receiving the invoice.
  • After the above-mentioned deadline, the Executive Director of the Association sends a reminder to the member. If the member still fails to pay the membership fee, the membership fee payment deadline is considered to have been violated.
  • If a member misses the membership fee submission deadline twice in a row, the Executive Director will notify the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the latter will order the member's status to be suspended for a period of 1 month.
